Jean Huffington’s legal career has two distinct areas of focus: the workplace and the family. She serves as employment law counsel to employers in a wide range of topics, advising them on day-to-day decisions regarding employees, employment contracts, avoiding legal pitfalls and executing long-term strategy for human resources. Jean’s decades of experience as a trial lawyer have equipped her to advise clients on litigation strategy – including avoiding litigation where possible.
As a family law attorney serving “of counsel” to the Perry Law Group in Seattle, Jean brings her extensive trial lawyer skills to representing clients in domestic relations matters including divorce, custody, and relationships between non-married individuals.
For any client, Jean’s primary focus is on the client’s goals, first helping the clients establish what they are, and then never losing sight of those goals throughout the representation.
Jean is admitted to practice in all Washington courts, the United States District Court for Western Washington and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals
She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington in 1983.
She received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, Arizona State University in 1986.
