Bill McKay works in depth with his clients and their companies to help them find practical solutions to their business and litigation problems. Bill’s practice is relationship driven. He takes the time to learn about his clients, their needs and goals. Several of Bill’s clients have been with him for over 20 years. Bill works with closely held and emerging businesses, nonprofits and business associates in various industries. He particularly enjoys assisting his clients with creative problem solving, corporate governance and strategic planning, essentially serving as “outside general counsel.”
As a former criminal prosecutor and big firm litigator, Bill has considerable litigation experience covering a broad range of commercial, business, tort and real estate matters. He has successfully represented clients in federal, superior, district and municipal courts throughout the State of Washington.
Bill has big firm experience but prides himself on providing personal “boutique” services. His clients appreciate the fact that Bill makes himself readily available to them and is well-known for continuing to meet his clients’ needs when most lawyers would be unavailable.

Bill grew up in a large family on Capitol Hill in Seattle. He is a loyal and passionate local sports supporter. Bill has coached hundreds of children in soccer and basketball in over 15 years of volunteering.
